8oz single wall cups – BC-8-ART SERIES

Lost Riches by Daniel Bolt, Sydney
“Through my portrait series, Lux Captus, I intended to convey the beauty and awe I felt personally upon discovering places of natural wonderment. The portraits are a collection of photographs of close friends and family, combined with multiple layers of photographs taken during my travels to strange and intriguing places around the world. I wanted to show the inexorable connection between humans and the environment that I think a lot of people have forgotten – that many of us have lost sight of. I think in every person, there is a deep, innate urge for exploration and adventure.”

Tyto Alba by Beth Emily, Melbourne
“In both my professional and personal work, I explore the relationship between natureand the self – often drawing from my own experiences and journeys. I am passionate about the freedom that my solo practice and eponymous brand now allows me – particularly in the opportunities for expressing my creativity and working directly with clients.”

oceanDAISY by Monica Renaud & studiofiftyseven, Melbourne
“OceanDAISY was made in collaboration with my father Robert Stuart, whose recent and sudden death consumes my art
making right now. Raised to believe that anything is possible, OceanDAISY is a surrealist digital collage which was originally destined to be my father’s painterly and floating flower upon my photographic ocean scape. My brother and I find solace when we stare out over the ocean, become lost in the clouds, or walk amongst nature, comforted by the chatter of local birds…all gifts that were instilled in us from childhood, from our all giving parents, and their love of nature and the curiosities of this wonderful world.”

12oz single wall cups – BC-12-ART SERIES

Burrul Warrambool by Lucy Simpson, Sydney
“Burrul Warrambool represents one of the many Yuwaalaraay creation stories of the Milky Way. Design is my life and I love it. My culture makes me proud and it enriches my soul to be able to breathe life into old stories, practice ancient traditions, and create a new style of cultural expression through visual storytelling. In this way I am forever learning, creating and sharing, and immersing myself in family, country and story – nothing in the world makes me happier.”

Can you hear what I see by Leah Anketell, Byron Bay
“I infuse my subjects with all of the angst that comes from living in an age of environmental transition.Visually contemplating the ‘ache of modernism’ and its inability to satisfy the emotional and physical needs of those whose lives are ‘modernised’. I symbolically use cows which are sometimes strong, sometimes perplexed, sometimes soulful, sometimes majestic and always very moving and uncomfortably human in their emotions.”

Aureole by Juliet Meredith Webster, Tasmania
“Few places on earth are devoid of human intervention, though the vast cycles of nature continue unhindered. The earth moves around the sun, tides swing in and out and nature renews given half a chance. This sphere of thought underpins my work. Working in the transcendent light of the Tasmanian landscape with pinhole cameras and photographic film, allows me to develop aesthetic qualities in my images that move beyond surface appearances. Specific attributes of this low-tech photographic method create a softening of detail, a lessening of surface glare and reflection in the image, together with an infinite depth of field and a modulation of colour. No digital manipulation is used in the creation of my images.”
